"Meshtastic® is a project that enables you to use inexpensive LoRa radios as a long range off-grid communication platform in areas without existing or reliable communications infrastructure. This project is 100% community driven and open source!" The YARA project champion is VY1AE Adam. Other participating members include VY1FC Malcolm, VY1GP George, VY1IRM Ian, VY1MGS Michael, and VY1RSS Richard.

Adam made a presentation during the 2024 Field Day activities and at the end of a recent monthly YARA business meeting. He made a group order of meshtastic transceivers for interested members.
